Voltage/Amperemeter for testing battery cells. The dial has a voltage range from -2 to 2 Volt. The lower Amperes scale ranges from -150 to 150 A. The meter would be used by pressing the 2 pins onto the battery poles, as such applying a load to the battery by means of the resistor coil. By removing the coil, no-load voltage can be tested.
The casing looks like an early plastic. Doesn't seem bakelite at first glance.
The handle is some kind of hardwood.
