Brass thickness Gauge. Dial scale is from 0 to 360. Each division is approx 0.0062mm. The measurement is done by opening the jaws with the small handle. Measurement is then transferred to the dial axle via a miniature chain of approx 0.5mm.

There are no maker or other indication marks on the instrument.

This instrument was used to measure the thickness of the coverslip glasses used under a microscope in order to adjust the microscope for it's thickness.

The box measures approx 108 x 74 x 38 mm. The gauge itself approx 85 x 58 x 23mm.
