Apparatus to measure the strength of paper ("Papierfestigkeitsprüfer").
A piece of paper is clamped in and a spring mounted piston is pushed against the paper under test. The micrometer handle is then turned till the paper snaps. From the reading, one can then determine the breach point and the defection the paper had before breaking.
