C Spring scale also called a Mancur Scale. Used both in US and Europe in the first half of the 19th century. The C shaped steel is stretched by the weight and moves the needle. Depending on which hook the weight is suspended, the scale is different: either 18 Kg or 150 Kg.

The spring and hooks are steel while the scale is made out of brass.
