Scale for measuring peoples weight (?). Made of brass but with the kilogram bar in red copper (or reddisch brass). The slider for the grams is made from aluminium.
The bottom scale with the big brass cilindrical weight is for setting the tens of kilogrammes. With the brass slider on the top bar, the kilogram units can be set (with 100 gram divisions). On the same top bar, there is also an aluminium slider which can be used to determine the extra grams (from 0 to 90 in 10 gram divisions).
At the back, there are 2 weight discs that can be unscrewed. Assume this is to adjust for the tare and could be interchanged depending on the setup.
Also at the back, there is an adjustable weight for precise calibration/zero setting.
