Tachometer with changeable range (0232)

Index: 0232

Year: ?

Maker: ? (France?)

Dimensions: 13 x 11 x 22 cm (box)

Info

The tachometer body seems to be made out of chromed brass or steel. There are 2 dials: the inner scale reads from 40 to 160, the outer from 140 to 500.

The measuring range could be changed by pressing the pickup axle inwards and fixing with the knob on the side (which doesn't seem to hold correctly). By doing so, the range could be set to: 40-160, 125-500, 400-1600, 1250-5000.

Next to the range indicator, there is a small spirit level. Guess this device needs to be set/kept level, also seen there are bottom stands for keeping it flat.

In the case, there are some accessories for keeping it on an axle or spindle. Also a wheel with a circumference of 0.2m to measure surface speed. Next also a notched wheel that could also be used to measure surface speed or revs by using the little cord in the box.

There are no markings about type or manufacturer.
