Jewelers thickness gauge made of steel with brass scale plates. The legs can be fixed by means of a screw.
The central pivot point is made of red copper. Also the brass scale plate is fixed to the steel legs with red copper.
There are 2 indicators, each for a different scale: one scale is in inch, the other scale is in centimeters. Numbers are given in Roman numbers.
As seen from the inscribed numbering, this seems to be an instrument made in-house.
The letters M.H. are stamped into one of the megs. Guess the owner/craftsman.
