The moisture tester is used to measure the moisture in bulk products (that should be finely ground) by means of a chemical reaction (Calcium Carbide). The measured sample is put into the container and the calcium carbide added after whoch the vessel should be firmly agitated to let the reagent do its work. The moisture and the carbide will chemically react and the gas pressure will rise within the selaed vessel and can be read from the pressure meter on the vessel.

Among others used mainly in construction works.
