Calipers with handle and trigger like spring to make quick measurements. Ranges from 0 to 70 mm.

Via a small knurled knob above the handle, a predefined measurement can be set.

This type of calipers was used by instrument (eg violin) makers to measure thickness where the spot could not be reached by regular calipers. Instrument patented by L. Kaplan in 1917.
